13 05 2020

The Old Vic has announced its new programme of free content, #YourOldVic, aiming to keep audiences 'entertained, educated and inspired' while the venue is closed.

Content includes previous show screenings, the Playcrush Podcast, an Education Hub supported by Hub ambassadors Claire Foy and Matt Smith offering tips for 'young creatives of the future at home wanting to learn new skills', as well as a newly commissioned monologue written by Booker Prize-winning author Professor Bernardine Evaristo, dedicated to the NHS for its 72nd birthday. Playwright Ella Hickson has also been named as the new Old Vic Associate Artist, and will host Creatives' Corner, leading weekly conversations with emerging talent from across different creative disciplines on Instagram Live. The Old Vic's Artistic Director, Matthew Warchus, said 'Today I’m very happy to announce this array of free online content which we aim to be fun, engaging, useful and supportive to our various audiences during this difficult time'.
